Character: Pilau Kao

I pronounce his name like “pee-low kow” (his childhood nickname is Pip, but almost no one is allowed to use it).

“I can’t employ anyone organic as public relations at a robotics company. It would make us look incredibly insecure.”
The owner of the biggest robotics company in the League of Planets. He inherited it from his father and can’t take credit for founding it, but it has thrived under his management. He has not entirely thrived under managing it.
One day Pilau tracked down the location of the Weapon of the Lakoi, which was thought to be an urban legend. In fact it was so much thought to be an urban legend that no one would believe he found it, so he hired someone to go and retrieve it just to show them (to show them ALL). That was several years and 1.5 webcomics ago, and the consequences are still ongoing.
By the way, Pilau only has one pair of shoes. When they wear out or get gross he buys a new one. He doesn’t know where the tabloids got the idea that he has a thousand pairs of identical shoes, and he’d like to go on record saying it’s really, really annoying.
