RK-12: So. The weapon… it was made by a Krexian. Danny. Before the war. He wasn’t in the government or anything but he suspected his people were going to attack. He knew Lak didn’t stand a chance. Back then, Krexians were welcome to live and work on Lak… so he came to Lak and he made his weapon. It’s not exactly a weapon by itself. It gives people powers, based on their mental makeup. I was an early text subject… I’m hooked up to the weapon’s network, and I can talk to anyone connected to it. One of the other early text subjects lost his mind when he was connected. He attacked Danny and we were found out. Weapons were forbidden on Lak. So was making anything that would alter a sentient mind. We don’t have the death penalty so Danny was sentenced to the next worst thing: Permanent stasis. I was found guilty of helping him, and sentenced to stasis and guarding the weapon. The weapon was keyed so that no known species could activate it, including the humans here- and we buried it. We didn’t know about your people then, so you were able to find it.
